The final SWUGN Summit event of 2008 will be held at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Santa Monica on December 16th.  The lineup of presenters is impressive - Devon Sowell, Casey Gorman, Matt Lorono, Patrick Rainsberry, and Mike Puckett. At a little less than 4 million people, Los Angeles is the USA’s second largest city.  There’s no... [Read more]

I have read about all of the great new enhancements in SolidWorks 2009 but sometimes you don’t realize how nice they will be until you actually see them in action. As is the case with the above picture. This morning I was working on a component and had added a feature above the chamfers in my FeatureManager tree. Well it caused some errors... [Read more]

Dear Colleagues, as you can notice from the picture, I have numerous problems with dimensioning welding in drawings. I use WF4, metric dimensioning. Decimal places are set to 0, lead_trail_zeros are set to std_metric. I would stress three of my problems: 1) Is it a bug in Pro/E, or it is impossible to control decimal places? I’m working with a model right now and have encountered something that is bugging the hell out of me. I have a product and inside that product I have assembled a skeleton and a bunch... [Read more]
